Introduction
At Harris Academy Bermondsey we know that it is important to prepare students for their exams. Here you will find important and useful information that will support students at the Academy with their revision.
In the run up to formal summer exams, revision materials for each subject will be posted here.
These guides provide you with information about this year’s arrangements for qualifications regulated by Ofqual. They also explains what support is in place when taking exams and assessments. If you have any questions about the contents of this guide, please speak to the Exams Officer.

Year 11 GCSE Exam Resources
Exams equipment
Students must make sure they are properly equipped for every exam. You should bring two black ball-pens, a pencil, eraser, sharpener, ruler and any other writing or Mathematics equipment (calculator, compass, protractor) needed to your exams. Check with your teacher if you think you will need any specialist equipment.
Contingency Day
The awarding bodies have designated 11 June and 25 June 2025 as contingency days for examinations.
The designation of contingency days within the common examination timetable is in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the United Kingdom. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations.
Candidates are reminded that they must remain available until Wednesday 25 June 2025 should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.
