Business Mentoring
HAB has won national acclaim for its Mentors from Business Scheme.
Business Mentoring at HAB is now in its 21st year. We are proud to have formed links with companies such as PWC and Deutsche Bank to name a few. Business Mentoring provides the opportunity for our students to meet people outside of the normal education framework who can support them generally with academic/organisational support or more specifically with their Maths and/or English studies.
Students are paired with a Mentor and will work with them once a week from 8.00am until 8.45am. The meetings continue every week throughout the years leading up to the examinations.
We run these sessions to provide our students:
- Guidance in a general or specific professional area
- Series of questions or issues that they may have for their future planning
- Early career development
- Ethical and moral guidance
- Professional identity development guidance
- Help and advice on subjects such as Maths and English
- Help and advice to apply for an apprenticeship
- To enable them to learn more about work life.
