Chantoi Receives Offer from Balliol College, Oxford

ChantoiChantoi, Year 13, is our first HAB Oxbridge candidate and she has just received an offer to read Ancient and Modern History at Balliol College, Oxford.

Chantoi studies A level Sociology, History, English and Geography and could be starting at Oxford in September 2019. Chantoi said: “I’m speechless! I was so nervous but when I found out I felt elated. I’m really looking forward to reading History and pursuing my passion for not just 20th century global history but also of the classics.”

As a member of the Harris Experience Advanced Programme, Chantoi has engaged in many opportunities outside of school to pursue her passion for history. Throughout Year 12, for example, Chantoi took part in LSE’s Pathways to Law programme and attended a Sutton Trust Summer School. Chantoi also attended a series of subject lectures through the LSE choice program.

Chantoi currently also has two other offers from Bristol and Leeds. We could not be more #ProudToBeHAB of her achievements.
