Year 7 Team Takes Third Spot in Spelling Bee

Six fantastic Year 7 spellers left Harris Peckham on a rainy, cold Friday proudly with 3rd place certificates in hand.

The team, who competed in the Harris Federation Central Quadrant Spelling Bee, were made up of Niamh, Georgina, Mushtaq, Laura, Philomena and Maia.

Throughout the day the HAB team were supportive of one another, professional and an absolute credit to the school community. Although Crystal Palace won the 1st place spot, Ms Burgess and the English department could not be prouder.

Particular mention goes to Laura who was the last person standing in the final elimination round; she showed nerves of steel and gave a remarkable spelling performance.
