STEAM 2022 - New HAB Girls Explore Science and Arts

WOW – what an evening! Over 300 pupils, parents and carers visited HAB on Thursday the 17th of March to take part in hands-on activities alongside our Year 7 pupils.

From Bollywood to boxing, choral movement to cookies and dry ice to dissections, our new #HABGirls calculated, whacked, experimented, printed and ate a lot of truffles! Click here to see more photos

The Open Evening is a key part of the transition programme at HAB, helping bridge the move from primary to secondary school. It included hands-on activities in the Science and Arts faculties laboratories where Year 6 and Year 5 pupils worked alongside our Year 7 girls to discover the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths opportunities at Harris Academy Bermondsey.

It was fantastic to meet our new cohort and also some Year 5s too – one step ahead on the secondary school application.

There are more transition activities planned for the summer term but in the meantime the first Year 6 Welcome Evening is on 29th of March, we look forward to seeing you again.
