Harris Federation Languages Spelling Bee Competition.

On Friday 28th June Harris Academy Bermondsey competed in the Harris Federation Languages Spelling Bee.

At the event students are invited to recall and spell words in Spanish, French, Chinese, German and Italian, initially competing in heats and then the finals in front of a large audience of other schools.

In a record year, HAB made a clean sweep of awards in Spanish, winning all three top prizes in years 7, 8 and 9. Congratulations to Cleo, Primose and Rafiat on being the respective winners!

Further, in light of the new subject offering of Chinese at HAB, for the first time two year 7 entrants represented the school in the Chinese competition. Elishama and Alishba competed excellently, the latter being a close runner up in the final.
