Horrible Histories Reward For Year 7 and 8
A group of Year 7 and 8 students enjoyed a cruise down the 'Terrible Thames' when they took part in a reward trip for History in October.
They boarded the 'Horrible Histories' boat with excitement (and a few nerves!) and were regaled with historical tales about Boudicca's revolt against the Romans, the beheading of Anne Boleyn at the Tower of London, and the role that London's docks played in the Transatlantic Slave Trade, among other topics.
"There were a lot of gruesome moments but I still enjoyed it," said one Year 7 student. "The bit I found most interesting was going under the different bridges and hearing the story behind each one."
All students really benefited from learning more about the rich history of the fascinating city we live in.
