HAB Fairy Sprinkles Books On Local Primary Schools
Staff and pupils at six of our partner primary schools welcomed the HAB Book Fairy with open arms recently, as she sprinkled some HAB fairy dust and shared our love of reading in the community.
The HAB Book Fairy (who looks incredibly like teacher Dr Hellen Hay) had work to do because, during the pandemic, we were kindly gifted a selection of books from Hachette UK publishers via the Neighbourly platform, that helps businesses donate to their communities.
Most of the books were used to furnish our own HAB library, but we also received books more suitable for primary readers. But what should we do with them? Make way for the HAB Book Fairy!
Dr Hay said: "It was must have been lovely to visit those schools and skip though the playground handing out books – who doesn’t love a good read?"
Grange Primary School were taken aback at the quality reading texts. The HAB Book Fairy (AKA Dr Hellen Hay) pictured with Grange Primary School staff.
Staff at Rotherhithe Primary School were shocked to receive a crate of books from the HAB Book Fairy.
