HAB Eco-Warriors Tackle Energy Waste

Eco Warriors logoEco-Warriors is a new club open to Year 7, Year 8 and HAB6. The club aims to help improve how HAB, the local area and government look after our world.

This half-term we have been focusing on reducing energy waste. Our Eco-warriors are creating posters to remind staff and students to turn off all electronic equipment at the end of the day.

We are also in the process of securing funding to convert all lighting in the school to LEDs. This will reduce our energy required for lighting by two thirds. And please keep an eye out for our Eco-at-Christmas News Bulletin to help you reduce waste over Christmas. 

For anyone interested in finding out more, speak to Mrs Mason or come to V16 after school on Thursdays.
