Year 12 Supports Year 10 at Deloitte Business Conference
Iasmin and Sheryl, Year 12, report on a Year 10 Business trip to a conference hosted by the Deloitte Group and supported by Year 12 Economic students.
The Year 10 trip to the conference hosted by Deloitte involved the Year 10s in analysing different ways to reduce energy use. Our group discussed how a gym group could reduce its overall energy use. The recommendation would involve the group installing self-generating machines and installing sensory lights that turn on when they sense movement.
Overall, the Year 10 Deloitte conference was wonderful as we got to interact with some Year 10 business students. Providing them with guidance in the activities encouraged Year 12s to put their own knowledge of economics to use.
The experience helped not only Year 10s who the project was for, but it has also helped us by allowing us to practise our business skills and gave us an understanding of the future opportunities that are in front of us.
