Refugee Week Art Competition
From the 17th – 23rd June 2024, here at HAB we celebrated National Refugee Week.
There were various opportunities to reflect on what it means to be a refugee and to think empathetically about the experiences of others. These activities ranged across many subjects in school. We also ran a school wide Art competition: students were challenged to reflect on what ‘home’ means to them and to represent this visually. This resulted in a rich variety of ideas and expressions about what home means. It was very difficult to select winners form such a beautifully diverse range of entries but here are our winners and their winning works:
Joint 1st Place in the Refugee Week Art Competition - Well done!
