HAB's Got Talent Shines Bright with Student Performances
HAB's Got Talent, our school's annual celebration of student talent, took centre stage recently as students from across all year groups showcased their impressive skills. The event was a testament to the diverse talents within our student body, bringing together a vibrant mix of performances that captivated the audience.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the winners. Taking first place was the dynamic group "Afro Auntie," a quartet of Year 8 dancers who wowed everyone with their energetic and synchronised routine. Their performance was a perfect blend of creativity and precision, earning them the top spot.
In second place was Year 10 student Cybella, who delivered a stunning vocal performance in Spanish. Her powerful and emotive rendition left the audience spellbound and showcased her exceptional singing talent.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed panel of judges, who provided invaluable feedback to all participants. Our panel included Mrs Landman, our dedicated principal; Mrs Abraham, our Head of Dance and HAB's Got Talent director; Mrs Mercer, our Assistant Head and HAB's Got Talent director; and Ms Mbuyamba, teacher of English. Their expertise and insights were instrumental in making the event a success.
A special thank you goes out to our wonderful host, Stephanie, whose charisma and energy kept the event lively and engaging. Additionally, we appreciate the fantastic photos captured by HAB6 student Vidhi, which will help us remember the event for years to come.
The technical success of the show was ensured by HAB6 students Lola and Jess, who did outstanding work on lighting and expertly managed the sound, respectively. Their contributions were crucial to the smooth execution of the performances.
A special thank you goes to our fantastic audience, who enthusiastically voted for the winners and made the event even more exciting.
Thanks to all the staff and students involved for their dedication and hard work in making this day a success. HAB's Got Talent was not just a competition but a celebration of the creativity, passion, and hard work of our students. We look forward to seeing more incredible performances in the future and continuing to nurture the amazing talent within our school community.
