Eid - Henna Seminar and Practical For Eid
On Friday 6th May, HAB students ended Eid with a henna seminar and a practical session, led and organised by Ms Ahmed, HAB Government, members of HAB6 and Mrs Senior.
Students had the opportunity to listen to a seminar that explained the origins and significance of henna, even learning about how such a skill can be turned into a lucrative business.
There were four stations involved in the afternoon celebrations:
- Station 1: Drawing henna designs on paper
- Station 2: Student henna artists demonstrating their skills on other students
- Station 3: Students learning how to do henna, before practising on each other
- Station 4: This was ran by Year 13 students (pictured), and allowed for students to make a donation in exchange for sweet treats, with all proceedings going to Muslim Aid
