Iasmin is Elected to Southwark Youth Parliament
Iasmin from HAB6 has triumphantly secured a spot as a representative for our school in the Southwark Youth Parliament (SYP), which represents the voices of local young people.
SYP is a dynamic group of young leaders, elected by their peers, passionately amplifying the voices of youth across schools and neighborhoods. The SYP not only champions engagement with the Council but also spearheads thrilling initiatives to tackle priority topics that truly resonate with the vibrant youth of Southwark.
"I am really happy to announce that I not only managed to get a place in Southwark Youth Parliament but our school Harris Academy Bermondsey and the students who are part of it have managed to get a place in the Southwark Youth Parliament," said Iasmin. "This is a great opportunity to produce great changes that will contribute in improving the future of our young people within Southwark.
"I will not only put all my efforts to create projects that will help our young people but I will also be open to any suggestions that our students might have towards improving our Southwark community. I believe that every little helps and that every idea can contribute to a brighter future; let's create a better society together!" Iasmin.
