Exciting Announcement: UKMT Maths Challenge Results Kick Off Maths Month!
As we dive into a month dedicated to the fascinating world of mathematics, we are thrilled to kick things off with an exciting announcement of the outstanding achievements of our students in the recent UKMT Maths Challenge! Approximately 200 students from Year 9 and Year 10 participated, showcasing their mathematical prowess and determination.
In Year 9, remarkable students Philomena, Megan, and Aaisha earned Silver Certificates for their exceptional performance, with Megan receiving the esteemed accolade for 'Best in the Year'.
The Year 9 Bronze Certificate winners: Isabella, Jayda, Mayeda, Amelia, Niamh, Willow, Aisha, Sophia, Rafiat, and Clara
In Year 10, Yasmin, Miriam, Mina and Shania, proudly secured a Silver Certificate, with Miriam and Mina clinching the prestigious title of 'Best in the School' alongside their Silver Certificates. Furthermore, the following Year 10 students were awarded Bronze Certificates for their commendable efforts; Salwa, Julia Marianna, Sabella, Ritaj, Maisha, Zalina, Zakia, Haley, Eleonor, Mya, Joy, Gulis and Nicole.
This remarkable success reflects the dedication and hard work of our students, as well as the exemplary guidance and support provided by our teachers. We couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments and the representation they've brought to our academy.
Yasmin said "If you work hard to understand Maths it becomes enjoyable and it makes more sense, it's like unlocking a superpower for everyday stuff like cooking and sewing."
